Our first meeting was small in numbers, but VERY successful! THANKS to everyone who is helping to make Stagelove a success! Here's some things we talked about:

-Ironed out some of the Board of Directors
-The show for the current semester
-Shows for our summer run

It was decided that the show for this semester would actually be two one act pieces, with one being a musical and one being a straight piece. Both pieces will run approximately 60 minutes each. Auditions will be held the week of February 22nd. More information will be provided as it becomes available. Morgan Mallory will be directing and choreographing the musical, while Kelly Driscoll will be directing the second piece.

We welcome the following people to the Board of Directors!

Curtis T. Cluff
Natalia Castilla
Morgan Callaway
Lisa Hill
Kami Christiansen
Meredith Dutcher
Kelly Driscoll

Positions have been defined, but need further refining.

Thanks to everyone who came, and we hope to see more come next time!

Stagelove Productions: Our Manifesto

-Stagelove Productions will be dedicated to bringing family-friendly theatre to where-ever it is stationed. We are gearing our shows for children over 8. However, being "family-friendly" will not prohibit us from choosing shows that have intense roles for actors; rather, it will simply keep us within a scope that is not offensive for community or scholastic patrons.

-We look forward to exploring representational theatre and theatre that is driven by emotion. We also want to explore connections and relationships within the scope of the characters of the play. Obviously, theatre pieces chosen to produce will be well thought out and fully explore character relationships without much of a rewrite or push from the director. We embrace challenges in order to maintain our uniqueness as a theatre company, while holding on to our original commitment to explore relationships and conflict within characters rather than by outside factors.

-Stagelove will be doing one show a semester, and one in the summer.

-Stagelove is not affiliated with any university in particular, but is available to offer opportunities to students to explore working in the "real world" through acting, self-producing, and self-sustaining itself as a production company. Stagelove will be open to both student participation and community member participation, and it is anticipated that both scholastic and community actors/producers will participate equally.

The Closing of Grimm Tales

Its all over. But we would like to take a moment and say "thank you" to everyone who came and supported us, and our amazing actors!

We had a total of seven performances stretched out in only three days, and had over 200 people come to the show. As fellow actors, we can honestly say that the audience is what makes a great show. Thank you to those who came. To those who participated, and to you. We couldn't have done it without you. Thanks!

Watch for auditions towards the end of the month for our next show!
